It may not be making as many waves as the Michael Jackson story, but today's advancing of the climate change bill is starting to show up on a lot of news feeds. Not that we're surprised. This is a huge issue.
But much of the earliest media coverage seems to be stirring up an awful lot of hostility and opposition And it's everywhere. From the most conservative blogs to the most liberal social media sites - those who oppose any kind of effective climate change legislation are not pacing back and forth in the waiting room. They're aggressively hitting up every possible media outlet to express their opinions and outrage.
Now I've certainly spouted off about this issue before. But today, I'd like you to check out an article I found that really gets to the heart of what pushes my buttons on this subject - data manipulation.
To be honest, I really don't care if you believe global warming is real or not. We're all entitled to our own opinions on this. But what I find increasingly frustrating is the amount of manipulated data that's being thrown around as if it's worth even a hint of credibility.
Even if you question cap-and-trade or global warming, I do hope you'll take a moment to read this article on how some are still pushing debunked cap-and-trade cost figures. This is just too important to rely on anything but accurate data.
Ok, enough of the serious stuff...
I don't know if you had a chance to check out Green Chip Living this week, but we had a lot of positive feedback from my posts on the health care overhaul and being car-free in LA. The latter actually links to another blog that's doing a very interesting series called, "Car-Free Mondays."
If you haven't already, I do hope you'll take a moment to check those out.
Have a fantastic weekend!
And it looks like it's going to be a hot one. So stay cool.

Jeff
